Malandela’s Guest house response to "the extraordinary events and global disruption caused by COVID-19".

Due to the multiple impacts of the Coronavirus, travelers are experiencing global disruptions to their travel plans. Others, understandably, just don't feel comfortable risking exposure and are calling off their travel plans proactively. 

We are doing our best to monitor the ever-changing updates from the World Health Organization, and responding based on the best advice of medical professionals, public health authorities and Eswatini governance.

To curb the pandemic the Eswatini Government has introduced a 20 Day National Lock-down. With that in mind, effective 25 March 2020, we have suspended all Guest House and Malandela’s centre operations.

We look forward to resuming the Malandela’s experience as soon as it is safe, the longer the disruption continues, the harder the economic recovery will be for all of us.

We are doing everything in our power to minimize the impact on our guests and we are happy to offer a full credit for future bookings to all current reservations effected by Covid-19. A new date can be confirmed by contacting us on info@malandelas.com or (+268) 25283448

The credit will be valid for 18 months from the original booking date, and this date will be revised as the situation unfolds.  At this point we are unable to offer cash refunds.

The global effects of COVID-19, has had major repercussions for our industry and country, and we will not be receiving any support from government as is the case in some other countries. Sadly, it is estimated that millions of jobs will be lost in the hospitality, leisure and entertainment sectors globally.

After our health security, Malandela’s main priority is to ensure the businesses survival after this period, and to support our dedicated staff by avoiding redundancies and loss of jobs.

We are all in this together and appreciate that everyone is having to make difficult decisions and sacrifices. Thank you all for your understanding and support. We look forward to hosting you as soon as this crisis has passed.

FACILITIES:

Anyone entering these premises including the grounds do so at their own risk. Everyone else connected therewith, including the owners and proprietors, shall have no liability whatsoever for any injury to or death of any person, or loss, theft of or damage to any property, howsoever caused even arising from negligence of any degree. Guests have access to personal safes in the rooms and can set personal codes to these safes.

Any vandalism of rooms or items in therein will result in a fine and be charged to the Guest. Any acts of violence, hate speech or mistreatment shown to our staff will result in removal from our premises.

MEDICAL CONCERNS:

Any and all food allergies, medical conditions or medical concerns need to be made clear to us before arrival to the centre. All preparations to accommodate special needs or dietary requirements needs to be communicated clearly via email in advance prior to arrival. Malandela’s Centre, its owners, proprietors, management and staff will not be held responsible for any allergic reaction, death or discomfort however caused.
